The Babel Buster MQ-73 will poll one or more BACnet MS/TP and/or BACnet IP devices, collecting data from the list of objects you provide. Based on rules you create, the MQ-73 will decide if and when to publish that data to the AWS server. You can also configure the MQ-73 to subscribe to data coming from the AWS server, which you can then write out to BACnet devices to manage setpoints and the like. AWS IoT is based on the MQTT protocol. Sending data to the AWS server and receiving data from the AWS server is all done in MQTT protocol using JSON to represent the data.
Cloud not required! The MQ-73 is also suitable for stand-alone remote monitoring use. The MQ-73 includes alarm monitoring with email notifications using its internal secure email client, local data logging with CSV files emailed to you instead of sending data to the cloud, and a real time scheduler for date and time scheduling.
